CENTER STAGE PRESENTS:
Dear Jack, Dear Louise

Friday, Feb 13 - Sunday, Feb 15 | 2 PM + 7 PM

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Ken Ludwig’s Dear Jack, Dear Louise makes its Long Island debut at the Southampton Arts Center from February 13 - 15, 2026. Starring Barbara Jo Howard and Jack Seabury, this intimate two-person play tells the true story of Ludwig’s parents, who fell in love through letters during World War II. What begins as a simple correspondence grows into a deeply moving romance shaped by distance, uncertainty, and hope.

Directed by Michael Disher, the production is a heartfelt reminder of the power of handwritten words and enduring connection. Set entirely through letters exchanged between a U.S. Army doctor stationed in Oregon and an aspiring actress in New York City, Dear Jack, Dear Louise is filled with warmth, humor, and tenderness. Praised as “storytelling at its best,” the play offers a meaningful and memorable way to celebrate Valentine’s Day weekend.

Tickets: Members $20 | General Admissions $25
